Dak Prescott Throwing Training Ball
2 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) is back on the practice field and is gripping and throwing a training ball. He is only 10 days removed from surgery to fix his right thumb fracture, so he's not throwing regular footballs yet or taking snaps. Prescott will slowly build back up his football activities with the hope of being ready to go in Week 4 or 5, according to the team. Dallas didn't put him on Injured Reserve after he fractured his right thumb in the season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they were hopeful then that he'd return within four weeks. For now, the Cowboys will continue on with Cooper Rush, who led the team to a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, under center while Prescott recovers.
