Dak Prescott Not Expected To Practice Wednesday
2 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) is not expected to practice on Wednesday after having just gotten his stitches removed from his surgically repaired right thumb. A Week 4 return against the Washington Commanders appears to be too ambitious, but he does have an outside chance of returning in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams. The 29-year-old signal-caller has made excellent progress since fracturing his thumb in the season opener, but he still needs to progress through a throwing program the next couple of weeks in order to return to the field. Cooper Rush has gone 2-0 in place of Prescott, but head coach Mike McCarthy has already said that Prescott will be the starter again when he's ready.
