Courtland Sutton Plans To Play One Preseason Game
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (knee) said the plan is for him to play in one of the team's three preseason games. "Me being a competitor, I wish I could play in all of them," Sutton said. The 25-year-old took part in some of the offseason workouts and is being limited to begin training camp after he tore his ACL in Week 2 of last year. Sutton is confident in his health and is entering his fourth NFL season after breaking out in 2019. He should be the No. 1 receiver in a talented group of pass-catchers after he had an impressive 15.4 yards per catch, six receptions of 40-plus yards and 125 targets with Drew Lock under center in 2019. The QB situation isn't the best and he'll have competition for targets, but as long as he's healthy, he figures to lead Denver in targets and return value on his current price as the 31st receiver off draft boards.
