Corey Seager Returns From Injured List Wednesday
2 years agoThe Texas Rangers activated shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned catcher Sam Huff to Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. In his return to the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves, Seager was serving as the designated hitter and batting second in the lineup. The 29-year-old missed over a month with a strained left hamstring, but he'll go back to being a must-start for fantasy managers as Texas' primary shortstop. With the game in the bottom of the eighth inning, Seager has gone 0-for-3 so far with an RBI and a strikeout. Before his injury, Seager was hitting a cool .359 (14-for-39) with four doubles, a home run and four RBI in 11 games.
