Cordarrelle Patterson Listed With New Position On Depth Chart
1 year agoThe Atlanta Falcons have created a new position on their depth chart for running back Cordarrelle Patterson. The Falcons listed Patterson as the starter at the Joker offensive position, which is generally used for a player who can fill multiple roles in the passing and running games. The former first-rounder was drafted in 2013 by the Minnesota Vikings as a wide receiver but moved to RB when he joined the Falcons in 2021. The 32-year-old hasn't practiced since Aug. 9 due to a soft-tissue injury, and it remains to be seen how the Falcons will use Patterson in 2023 with rookie first-rounder Bijan Robinson and second-year back Tyler Allgeier in position to get more carries than Patterson. He may not even be active in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
