Corbin Carroll Wins NL Rookie Of The Year Award
Corbin Carroll was unanimously named the 2023 National League Rookie of the Year on Monday. Carroll displayed his elite speed and surprising power for a player that stands at just 5-foot-10, 165 pounds on his way to helping the D-backs get all the way to the World Series this fall. The 23-year-old hit 25 home runs and stole 54 bases in 2023, making him the first-ever rookie to reach those marks in his first full MLB season. Carroll also led all NL rookies with a 5.4 bWAR and all MLB rookies with a 6.0 fWAR. He is the first winner of this award in the franchise's history. Carroll slashed .285/.362/.506 with an .868 OPS, 76 RBI and 116 runs scored in 565 at-bats.
