Consistency Key To Wade LeBlanc's Second-Half Success
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Wade LeBlanc can look back on the first half of the 2018 season with fondness. He was thrust into the rotation on May 3 and never looked back, posting a 5-1 record with a 3.45 ERA in 14 starts this season. LeBlanc's emergence also earned him a contract extension with the team. The 33-year-old is en route to his best season as a pro, thanks to a 1.72 ERA in six starts in the month of May. But consistency will be key for LeBlanc the rest of the season and has a 4.67 ERA in the six weeks since that stellar month. LeBlanc's numbers may be attractive to fantasy owners looking for bargains on the pitching front but may need a wait-and-see approach before pouncing on the left-hander in the second half.
