Concussion Ruled Out For Rhett Ellison
Rhett Ellison (eye) left Friday's preseason game against the New York Jets with an eye injury. Head coach Pat Shurmur said after the game that Ellison had blurred vision in his eye, but concussion was ruled out. The backup tight end is likely to undergo further testing, but the belief is that Ellison will be fine. He is actually the tight end who would be called upon to start in Week 1 if Evan Engram (concussion) isn't ready to go. Ellison might absorb more targets than expected if Engram struggles to be ready by Sept. 9, but he would only be useful in the deepest of fantasy formats as a temporary replacement for Engram owners.
