Cole Beasley A Candidate To Be Released?
3 years agoWhile it's unlikely, the possibility of the Buffalo Bills releasing veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley this summer shouldn't be entirely ruled out. If Beasley were to be released, he'd save the team $5.341 million against this year's salary cap. His dead-money hits over the next two years would be $2 million and $1.5 million respectively, which are reasonable costs. Buffalo also has other options at wideout that could step into the slot role, although there would be a drop-off at the position. The Bills signed veteran Emmanuel Sanders in free agency and also have Isaiah McKenzie as an option at the position. It's highly unlikely that the Bills will move on from Beasley, who has become a favorite target of quarterback Josh Allen. The 32-year-old can be frustrating at times for fantasy managers, but he should be able to provide solid WR3 value in this rising offense.
