Chuba Hubbard 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Early Season Contributor / Late Season Trade Candidate
7 months agoAfter starting the year as the clear No. 2 option on his team, Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard began to take the reigns of the starting job in Week 6 and never looked back. From that point forward, Hubbard was the preferred option over teammate Miles Sanders, playing under half the snaps just once, totaling 748 of his 902 rushing yards on 203 carries (3.68 yards per carry). Hubbard's five touchdowns were enough to elevate him to a high-end RB3 for fantasy, but the Panthers looked to add a bit more talent in the NFL Draft and did so with their second-round pick (#46 overall) in Texas stand-out RB Jonathon Brooks (knee). The selection of Brooks stands to make Hubbard a secondary option once again, but Brooks is on the mend after suffering an ACL tear in November of 2023. While Brooks is expected to be cleared for action in training camp, history tells us that he may not be 100% healthy at any point in 2024. This still leaves the door open for Hubbard to compete for the starting role and be a fine fantasy contributor in his first year of new head coach Dave Canales' offense. His current NFFC price of RB38 (#128 overall) aligns perfectly with his rank of RB37, and he has a solid chance of outplaying this price at least early in the season.
