Christian Yelich Getting A Breather Against Southpaw
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich is taking a seat on Sunday against Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. With Yelich out, Mark Canha will make the start in left field and will bat leadoff against Suarez. Canha will be an interesting DFS play in the leadoff spot against a left-hander, against whom he's hit .252 (29-for-115) with four of his eight home runs this year. Yelich is having a great season for Milwaukee this year and is a must-start in all fantasy lineups when he's active, but he could use a break right now after going just 5-for-31 (.161) with a homer, two RBI, 13 strikeouts and seven runs scored in eight starts since Aug. 25. Overall, the 31-year-old left-handed hitter has a strong .278/.366/.442 slash line with an .807 OPS, 17 homers, 69 RBI, 27 stolen bases and 95 runs scored in 507 at-bats.
