The Heat are reportedly interested in signing free-agent forward/center Christian Wood. The 27-year-old spent last season with the Dallas Mavericks, appearing in 67 games and averaging 16.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He's been linked to several teams this offseason, although he's hoping to sign for more than a minimum contract. At any rate, Wood is a double-double threat whenever he steps on the court, and he's a quality shooter from deep, especially for a big man. But he's reportedly developed an unfavorable reputation because of his attitude, and his inability to stay healthy has been an issue over the years. That said, Miami needs big bodies, so he may find his way to South Beach and see more than enough minutes to keep him relevant for fantasy purposes.--Dennis Clausen
