Christian Vazquez Homers In First Game After All-Star Break
5 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez finished 2-for-4 on Friday, including a solo home run in an 8-1 win over Toronto. The backstop picked up right where he left off before the break. This homer marked his 15th of the season, which is triple his previous career-high that was set in 2017. He's also set a career high with 42 RBI in just 258 at-bats. The 28-year-old's .535 SLG is fourth in the league, but his .466 xSLG hints to some regression. Either way, he's one of the top catchers to own in fantasy, thanks to this breakout season. Yet, he's still only owned in 44 % of ESPN leagues so it would be of benefit to your roster to pick him up if you stream the position.
