Chris Taylor To Start In Left Field In Game 3
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (neck) will get the start in left field in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Friday against San Diego Padres left-hander Blake Snell. Taylor battled neck tightness at the end of the regular season and received a cortisone injection last week. He'll take over for Trayce Thompson, who will most likely move to center field and send Cody Bellinger to the bench against a lefty. Taylor wasn't as good this year as he was in his lone All-Star season in 2021, and he also hit .193 (23-for-119) with only two of his 10 home runs, nine RBI and 13 runs scored in 75 games against left-handed pitching in 2022. Expect Taylor to hit near the bottom of LA's lineup on Friday. He hasn't played since Sept. 30.
