On Sunday afternoon, Chris Buescher finished 21st in the 4EVER 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Sunday's lackluster performance was disappointing for a driver who looked like a threat to win the championship after winning three of five races back in the summer (Richmond, Michigan, and Daytona). While it is easy to dismiss one bad race, he has only finished in the top 10 once over the last five races, meaning this is a team trending in the wrong direction at the worst possible time. Entering this Sunday's elimination race, Buescher finds himself 42 points below the cutoff line, meaning he will have to win at Martinsville to advance, a track where he has just one top-10 finish at in 16 Cup starts.--Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller
