Chris Archer Moving His Rehab To Triple-A
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer (forearm) will make his next rehab outing this Saturday with Triple-A Durham. Archer was able to throw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in his first rehab appearance in the Florida Complex League on Monday, so he's slowly making his way back. The right-hander has been missing in action since mid-April with a right forearm strain, which means he'll need more of a lengthy rehab assignment before he's back in the major leagues. In just 4 1/3 frames before his injury this year, Archer allowed three earned runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking one. The 32-year-old has seen his fantasy stock drop ever since his first half season with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018. Those in mixed leagues can continue to take a wait-and-see approach when he's back in Tampa's starting rotation.
