Chiefs Officially Re-Sign Jerick McKinnon
2 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs officially re-signed running back Jerick McKinnon to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday, according to a source. In his second year with the Chiefs in 2022, McKinnon played an important role in KC's offense on the way to winning a Super Bowl ring. He led the team with nine touchdown receptions and was named a team captain during the postseason. The 30-year-old also tallied 72 carries for 291 yards and a rushing score while hauling in a career-high 56 of his 71 targets for 512 receiving yards in 17 regular season games (zero starts). Fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting another nine receiving scores in 2023, but McKinnon should be the team's primary pass-catching option, making him highly valuable in point-per-reception fantasy formats.
