The Chicago Blackhawks have selected center Connor Bedard with the first pick in the 2023 NHL draft. This pick comes as zero surprise as Bedard has been pegged as the top pick in the 2023 draft for quite some time as he tore through the Western Hockey League and international tournaments. Still just 17, Bedard tallied an unbelievable 71 goals and 143 points across just 57 games with the WHL's Regina Pats this past season while putting up a Team Canada record 23 points in just seven games at the 2023 World Junior Championship. The North Vancouver native will immediately slide into the Blackhawks' No. 1 center role as the team looks to get back into contention moving forward.--Brenton KempRead More News
