Chase Elliott was the third of four Chevy's in the top-five on Sunday at the Circuit of the Americas course. Elliott did not lead any of the 69 laps as he looked better during the first stage (finishing seventh). The No. 9 car did finally start to move up the field later in the race as the chaos was going on in the front. Restart after restart got him close enough to get into the top-five on the final lap. When A.J. Allmendinger was placed out of the race, that moved Elliott into fourth. All in all, it was a solid +8 place differential for the Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
