1 year agoThe New York Yankees officially activated left-hander Carlos Rodon (back) from the 60-day injured list on Friday and transferred left-hander Nestor Cortes (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. Rodon will make his long-awaited debut for the Yankees on Friday against the visiting Chicago Cubs. An All-Star the last two years with the San Francisco Giants, Rodon is a fantasy ace when healthy and could push fantasy squads over the top in the second half of the season if he can stay on the field. Cortes is making progress from a left-shoulder injury, but fantasy managers won't be getting him back until Aug. 3 now. The 28-year-old southpaw will face live hitters this weekend and may not be far from a minor-league rehab assignment.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
