Cam Akers Leads Rams In Rushing
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers led LA in rushing with 14 carries for 61 yards in the Rams' 20-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Akers' rushing volume has been gradually increasing each week since his return to the team following a disagreement. In Week 11, he had double-digit touches for the first time since Week 5 and his most carries since Week 2. It is not guaranteed that he maintains this volume. Rookie RB Kyren Williams also saw his carries increase this week. The Rams underwhelming offense also doesn't give the Rams running backs many scoring opportunities. Akers will look to maintain next week at Kansas City, and he should be a deep league flex option.
