3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (shoulder) delivered the breakout performance of his rookie season Sunday against the Cardinals, but he has now popped up on the injury report for Week 14 due to a shoulder ailment. With the Rams set for a short week ahead of a clash Thursday against New England, the team released an estimated practice report Monday, one which featured Akers' name. Having found the end zone in back-to-back weeks, Akers carried the ball 21 times for 72 yards versus Arizona, seemingly giving him the inside track to see extended carries against the Patriots should he be able to take the field. Check back throughout the week for updates to his status as Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson Jr. figure to benefit exponentially from any decreased touches for Akers.--Jesse Borek
