Calvin Johnson Could Work With Jameson Williams
2 years agoFormer Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson said on 97.1 The Ticket's Stoney and Jansen with Heather that he would be willing to work with wide receiver Jameson Williams to help mentor him. "I connected with Jamo yesterday really for the first time, and I look forward to just being around and being a shoulder for him to lean on," Johnson said. Williams was the 12th overall pick in 2022 but spent the first 11 games of his rookie season rehabbing a torn ACL. He flashed impressive explosiveness when he made his debut, but he was suspended six games in 2023 for violating the league's gambling policy. A chance to be mentored by one of the game's all-time great receivers should only help one of the NFL's best young pass-catchers.
