Tampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron homered in his third straight game Thursday versus his former team, the Angels. It was his 11th home run of the season, which puts him well ahead of a pace to break his career high of 16. He is known for his power but he flashed some speed Thursday. Cron beat out an infield hit and then stole second base, which was his first of the season. He is currently batting .293, which is much better than many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.--Jamie Mellor
