Isaac Paredes Transferred to 60-Day Injured List
Isaac Paredes (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday. The move means Paredes won't be eligible to return until mid-September, and it's up in the air whether he'll play again this year. Paredes went on the IL on July 20 with a significant right-hamstring strain, which could go down as a season-ending injury. The 26-year-old earned his second straight All-Star invitation in the first half after slashing .259/.359/.470 with 19 homers, 50 RBI, and 51 runs scored over 409 plate appearances. Paredes recently underwent a PRP injection and is putting off surgery in hopes of coming back this year. If he's unable to do that, the Astros are prepared to go without him after acquiring Carlos Correa and Ramon Urias at last week's trade deadline.
