5/7:Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (toe) could be nearing a return to the lineup. The speedy outfielder was able to go through a workout on Monday, doing seven straight-ahead sprints, backpedals and cuts. He was apparently smiling as team athletic trainer Tony Leo made a phone call following the workout. Buxton has been sidelined since mid April, first with migraines and then with a fractured left big toe, which he suffered during a rehab assignment. The Twins would certainly be happy to get Buxton and his Gold Glove defense back in center field.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
