Bruce Arians Has No Plans To Retire Soon
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that he's not tied to quarterback Tom Brady and isn't planning on retiring anytime soon. The contract he signed in 2019 expires after the 2023 season. Arians also said the challenge of a young quarterback is appealing. "I could get extremely excited about having another young quarterback and going to war with one," Arians said. "I'll be honest with you." The 68-year-old primarily retired in 2017 due to health concerns, but he's fully healthy now and feels great. Many expected that Arians came out of retirement to win a Super Bowl with Brady, but now that it's already happened, Arians still has no plans to retire just yet. Can you blame him? The Bucs are poised to defend their title with basically the exact same roster.
