Broncos Defense Gives Up 27 Points To Steelers
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos defense ranked among the league's best after the first three weeks of the season against some of the weakest teams in the NFL. After two straight losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, they suddenly aren't looking as strong. In the 27-19 Week 5 loss to the Steelers, Denver's D allowed a season-high 27 points and only recorded one sack on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The one time they did get to Big Ben for a sack, it caused a fumble that the Broncos recovered, but that was their lone big play on defense in the game. The concerning thing is that Pittsburgh's offense had really struggled through four games coming into this one. The Broncos defense will have better days ahead, but the last two weeks we've learned that they probably aren't an elite unit just yet.
