Broncos, Chris Harris Jr. Moving Closer To Agreement
6 years agoThe Denver Broncos and cornerback Chris Harris Jr. are moving closer to an agreement on a deal for a contract adjustment, according to sources. Harris is scheduled to make $8.9 million in 2019 in salary and bonuses in what was supposed to be the final year of his deal. Denver is offering the Pro Bowler a pay raise, which is overdue at this point. There is cautious optimism that the two sides will reach a deal by the time the team holds their final segment of organized team activities by Friday. The four-time Pro Bowler is the heart and soul of the Broncos secondary, but he has yet to practice with the team's revised 3-4 defensive scheme under new head coach Vic Fangio.
