10 months agoSan Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns recorded his fifth multi-point game in his last eight outings on Thursday, notching two assists in a 4-3 loss at Dallas. He shares the league lead among d-men in assists with Ottawa's Thomas Chabot as both have registered 17 helpers. Following Erik Karlsson's arrival, many thought that two top offensive defensemen on one team would eat into each other's numbers, but Burns' offensive production remains intact. He's up to 20 points for the season with all of them coming in the last 13 games. He still isn't scoring goals with the same pace that he used to, but his shooting percentage has gotten better this season, so the hope remains.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
