Winnipeg Jets left wing Brendan Lemieux was assessed a match penalty and a game misconduct for an illegal check to the head in Friday's 4-2 loss against the Florida Panthers in Finland. He also received five minutes for fighting. The match penalty comes with an automatic indefinite suspension pending commissioner review, and the league isn't likely to be terribly lenient since the dirty play came during a showcase game overseas. --Daniel Dobish
