Braves Put Ozzie Albies On 10-Day Injured List
8 months agoThe Atlanta Braves placed infielder Ozzie Albies (toe) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a right big toe fracture and selected the contract of infielder David Fletcher from the minors in a corresponding move. Albies fractured his toe when he was hit by a pitch in Monday's 6-1 win over the Houston Astros and he's going to be forced to miss at least the next 10 days and probably more with the ailment. The 27-year-old second baseman is a big hit for fantasy managers in all formats, as the three-time All-Star was hitting .317 (20-for-63) with two home runs, 14 RBI and two stolen bases in his first 15 games in a stacked Braves lineup. For as long as he's sidelined, keep him stashed in an IL spot in all fantasy leagues. Fletcher and Luis Guillorme will most likely split the playing time at the keystone in the meantime in Atlanta.
