Braves Not Actively Pursuing Kris Bryant
5 years agoThere have been no recent trade talks between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves involving third baseman Kris Bryant. The Braves have been rumored to be interested in trading for Bryant ever since they failed to re-sign Josh Donaldson. Bryant also became more attractive as a trade commodity when he lost his service-time grievance against the Cubs, as he'll now become a free agent after the 2021 season. Bryant is a three-time All-Star that won a Rookie of the Year and MVP in his first two seasons in the league. He had just 13 home runs in an injury plagued 2018 campaign, but the 28-year-old slugger has reached the 30-homer mark twice in his five seasons. He'd have plenty of RBI opportunities in a stacked Braves lineup and would remain a high-end fantasy third baseman if he were traded to Atlanta.
