The Atlanta Braves selected Wake Forest pitcher Jared Shuster with the 25th overall pick in the 2020 MLB draft on Wednesday. Shuster made a huge leap in his stuff in the last year, vaulting him into the first round. The 21-year-old southpaw had a rough 6.79 ERA in his first two seasons in college but was able to improve his control and command in the Cape Cod league. Shuster has improved the velocity on his fastball from a season ago and might have the best overall changeup in this year's draft class. Scouts aren't all that impressed with his delivery, but his added strength should allow him to remain a starter as a professional. The lefty had 5.2 walks per nine innings in his first two seasons but dropped it to 1.4 in the Cape and this spring.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
