Brandon Nimmo Out On Monday; MRI Comes Back Clean
4 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (shoulder) is out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles at Citi Field, but the good news is that his MRI exam came back clean, according to manager Carlos Mendoza. The Mets are calling Nimmo day-to-day after he was pulled from Sunday's game early with shoulder discomfort. It's possible that the 31-year-old outfielder will be back in action as early as Game 2 of the series against the O's on Tuesday. With Nimmo out on Monday, Tyrone Taylor is in left field and will bat eighth against Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers. Taylor has three hits in 10 career at-bats against Rogers, but he'll give DFS gamers a low ceiling because of his spot in the eight-hole. Nimmo is currently riding a three-game hitting streak but has also missed time recently due to an illness and has gone 4-for-25 (.160) with two homers, a triple, five RBI and eight strikeouts in his last seven games.
