Brandon Nimmo Does It All Again For Mets
Brandon Nimmo is getting praise from just about everywhere as of late, and he’s doing absolutely nothing to derail that hype train. In a 5-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, Nimmo was once again the Amazins best source of offense. He finished 2-for-4 with a home run and a double. It was Nimmo’s third straight multi-hit game, third straight with a double and fourth with at least a home run or a double. His OPS stands at a ridiculous 1.004. When outfielder Yoenis Cespedes returns, playing time will be unclear for the 25-year-old Nimmo, but how can the Mets keep him out of the lineup at this point?
