Brandon Belt Held Out Of Saturday's Starting Lineup
Brandon Belt (side) was held out of Saturday's starting lineup against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Belt is dealing with left side tightness. It kept him out of Thursday's game, but he returned to the lineup on Friday and went on to go 1-for-3 with a walk. His absence from Saturday's starting lineup could have been due to the injury or a routine rest day or it could have been due to lefty Tyler Anderson being on the mound. Belt did enter Saturday's game as a pinch-hitter and struck out. It seems as if his injury has mostly subsided. He should be expected to play on Sunday, when the team faces right-hander Mitch Keller in the series finale.
