Blue Jays Interested In Marlins Starters
Pablo Lopez and Elieser Hernandez, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Lopez had a great season on the mound, going 5-5 while posting a 3.07 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and 27.5 strikeout percentage, but in just 20 starts and 102 2/3 innings. Hernandez dealt with injury trouble for most of the season but looked decent when healthy, pitching to a 1-3 record and 4.18 ERA with 53 strikeouts to just 14 walks in 11 starts and 51 2/3 innings. The Jays are in need of rotation help with Steven Matz and Robbie Ray both on the free-agent market at the moment. If either arm is dealt north of the border, it would certainly help their fantasy value with the firepower in the Jays lineup.
