Blake Snell Nearing a Return to the Majors
Blake Snell (shoulder) will make his fourth and likely final rehab start with the Oklahoma City Comets on Saturday. He will be aiming for 75 pitches and five innings pitched. Per manager Dave Roberts, "Once we get through that, there will be a real discussion on if he should join us or do another one." This is excellent news for Snell and the Dodgers, as Snell appears like he could make a return to the big-league ball club as soon as the first of August. Snell has made only two starts in 2025, but his career 3.18 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 11.17 K/9 speak volumes when considering his 10-year career. Fantasy managers who have held onto him this long are likely eager to activate him, and understandably so. However, Snell is typically someone who needs time to acclimate and get a few starts under his belt before producing at an elite level. Based on his potential return date, fantasy managers are hoping he can hit the ground running right away. Regardless, his upside is too good to pass up, and he should be started in all formats once he returns.
