Bengals Add Riley Reiff To Offensive Line
4 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals signed free-agent offensive tackle Riley Reiff to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. The Bengals desperately needed to upgrade their offensive line in front of young quarterback Joe Burrow. Formerly of the Minnesota Vikings, Reiff has been a solid blocker sine he was drafted in the first round by the Detroit Lions in 2012. He has started 127 of 135 games in his career, mostly at left tackle. He allowed one sack and 21 total pressures last season, 18th-fewest among 59 qualifying tackles. Cincy's offensive line allowed 35 sacks and 215 QB pressures in 2020, so adding reinforcements like Reiff was necessary. The 32-year-old told reporters that he would play right tackle for his new team. It will allow the team to keep Jonah Williams at left tackle.
