Ben Roethlisberger Extra Sore After Monday Night Game
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he was pretty sore after the Monday night win over the Giants in Week 1, his first game in 364 days after suffering a season-ending elbow injury in 2019. "I was saying today I feel like I was just in a car accident. Yesterday I felt like I was in a trainwreck. Hopefully tomorrow it'll feel like I just fell off a bike," Roethlisberger said. But the good news is that Big Ben's surgically repaired right elbow feels fine. To help keep him fresh, he'll continue to take Wednesdays off. He looked a bit rusty early in Week 1, but Roethlisberger eventually settled in to go 21-for-32 for 229 yards and three touchdowns. Against a Broncos secondary that will be starting two secondaries this Sunday, Big Ben will be a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 play.
