2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (hamstring) is active. Mayfield was doubtful to play this weekend, and it remains to be seen if he'll be healthy enough to return to the starting role under center in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. With Sam Darnold (ankle) still on Injured Reserve, P.J. Walker will make his second straight start at QB for the rebuilding Panthers. Shenault missed the last two games with a strained right hamstring, but he'll return with more opportunity in the passing attack after Carolina traded Robbie Anderson away this week. Still, Shenault will battling for playing time with Shi Smith, Terrace Marshall Jr. and Rashard Higgins, making him a deep-league dart throw.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
