Austin Slater Takes BP, Won't Come Off IL On Thursday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater (wrist) took batting practice on Thursday but won't come off the injured list on the day he's eligible. The 29-year-old is progressing from a wrist injury but won't be activated ahead of the weekend series against the Miami Marlins. He is slashing .250/.388/.391 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored, and two stolen bases over 80 plate appearances in 2022. Slater has been sidelined since May 22 but is on track to return to action soon. Slater will serve as the team's fourth outfielder once activated from the injured list.
