Austin Seferian-Jenkins Turned Down Two-Year Deal
7 years agoNew York Jets impending free-agent tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who caught 50 passes in 2017, already turned down a two-year, $8 million deal from the Jets that was short on guarantees and total value. Seferian-Jenkins is still just 25 years old and has turned his life around off the field, so he and the Jets could talk more and agree on a deal. He played in a career-high 13 games in 2017, racking up 357 yards with three touchdowns. ASF went missing in a lot of games, though, and until the Jets field a more competent quarterback than Josh McCown, Seferian-Jenkins' upside will be limited if he returns. He'd be better off going elsewhere.
