Aroldis Chapman Earns 16th Save To Close Dominant May
6 years agoNew York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman pitched a perfect ninth inning against the Red Sox on Friday night to earn his 16th save of the season. It was Chapman's 11th save in a dominant month of May in which he allowed just five hits and one earned run across 11 1/3 innings. He now has a 1.59 ERA and 0.88 WHIP on the season. There's little reason to think he won't be one of the most dominant closers in the game until further notice, especially as long as the Yankees keep winning.
