Anthony Richardson 2025 Outlook: A Make-Or-Break Year For The Former First-Round Pick
The clock is ticking for Anthony Richardson. The former first-round pick has 11 passing touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 15 career games. In 2024, he completed fewer than 50 percent of his pass attempts and temporarily lost his job. If his play doesn't improve, the next time he's benched could be permanent. Former New York Giant starter Daniel Jones is now in Indianapolis. He has a winning season under his belt, and the Indianapolis coaching staff could turn to him to save their jobs if the losses pile up early. If Richardson remains the starter, he will offer rushing upside that few quarterbacks do. He tallied 499 rushing yards in 11 games last season, sixth among signal callers. However, the downsides outweigh the rushing boost, making Richardson more likely to bust than boom as a QB2.
