Andrew Vaughn To Play In Minor-League Game Friday
2 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn (back) will play in a minor-league game on Friday. Vaughn has been out of Cactus League action for the last week due to lower back soreness, but as long as he doesn't suffer a setback, he should be ready to go on Opening Day on March 30. The 24-year-old slugger should move back to his natural position at first base in 2023 with Jose Abreu now in Houston. He's held his own in his first two major-league seasons with the White Sox, hitting a combined .255/.315/.414 with a .730 OPS, 32 home runs, 124 RBI and 116 runs scored in 1,024 plate appearances and 261 games.
