Andrew McCutchen Records 2,000 Career Hits
11 months agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen made history during Sunday's game against the New York Mets. The veteran outfielder singled for his 2,000th career hit during Sunday's 2-1 victory. He joins Miguel Cabrera, Joey Votto, Nelson Cruz and Elvis Andrus as the fifth active major leaguer with 2,000 hits. The 36-year-old has been surprisingly solid for the Pirates this season. It appears a move back to Pittsburgh has helped his bat in 2023. He's slashing .265/.381/.423 with eight home runs and 23 RBI in 52 games this season.
