Andrew Benintendi Slugs Sixth Home Run
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi finished with two hits and three runs batted in Wednesday, against the Indians, including a two-run home run in the fourth inning. It's the first long ball for the 24-year-old since May 10, and his first multi-RBI day since May 1. As Boston's leadoff hitter, he's not expected to be the team's power source, but 73 at-bats in between homers certainly leaves owners wanting more. However, his eight walks and stolen bases combined, in the last week, certainly adds a nice dimension to his fantasy output. The Red Sox open a four-game series with the Yankees Thursday, when they'll face lefty J.A. Happ. Benintendi is a solid play in OBP leagues, but his counting stats leave some to be desired as we enter June.
