Detroit Red Wings center Andreas Athanasiou scored his third goal of the season during a 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night. The speedy forward almost added another goal just minutes later, but Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk made a fantastic save to bail his goalie out. Athanasiou has an electrifying skillset although his finishing abilities could use some work. He seemingly has an odd-man break every game, but his goal totals remain low. He is one of the bigger parts of the Red Wings offense and should surpass the 33 points he put up last year. Regardless, he is only a fantasy option in deep leagues.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
